When my kids graduated high school, I didn’t want to give them gifts. I wanted to provide experiences. So they chose a destination to visit and the general plan. Our youngest daughter graduated this year and picked Southern Utah for her Senior Trip. We booked an Airbnb in Washington, Utah- minutes from St. George and about 40-minutes to Zion National Park. This isn’t just a spot for nature lovers. Foodies would love this area, too. Try Cappeletti’s in St. George, Rigatti’s Wood Fired Pizza in Washington and St. George, and Whiptail Grill in Springdale. Dessert? Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and Flake Pie Co. Thirsty? Feellove Coffee and Swig, of course.
Hiking was Number One on our list. So far, we’ve been to Snow Canyon and The Narrows at Zion National Park. Put both on your Bucket List! We also had some fun in the sun at Sand Hollow State Park, which has a big, beautiful reservoir and rentals for water toys and ATVs.
There’s so much more to investigate! Our time here has just begun. Take a look at these views and plan an adventure of your own. Get out and explore!
