We recently returned following a trip to Colorado for my husband to run the Leadville Marathon. We packed a lot of sightseeing into less than a week in the Rocky Mountains. I also packed a lot of Peach clothing! My choices proved to be perfect for all of the outdoor activities!
I thought I’d list some of those must-see places that we discovered on our Colorado adventure:
In Breckenridge, we had delicious pizza at a place called Fatty’s. We sat on a patio with mountain views as we ate. We also had a blast at Peak 8. A gondola takes you up the mountain to a fun zone with plenty of choices for a variety of ages (although- I’d probably skip this with toddlers or younger). We rode the mountain coaster and the alpine slide. I really loved the slide because we took a ski lift to the top!
The main event for our trip was the Leadville Marathon. My husband had done this one before, so we knew what to expect with that. The little town of Leadville has a lot to offer- great food (try Treeline or High Mountain Pies), friendly people, spectacular views. We stayed at the Ski Haus, which we found online. It was a great little basement apartment complete with a washer and dryer to clean those clothes after the marathon!
On the way home, we decided to spend a couple of days in Colorado Springs. Put these places on your list if you ever visit there: Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, and the Team USA Olympic Training Center.
My Peach clothes worked in every scenario. I crewed the marathon, hiked, climbed, toured, rode that slide–all in Peach! The best part was the comfort of each outfit and the ease of packing. Pieces worked together, which made dressing for any event a breeze.
