I have a scar that goes across the middle of my neck. The scar is from surgery to remove my thyroid due to a tumor. I’m fine- it was years ago. 👍🏻
Life has been pretty 🌀weird lately. It isn’t bad- just 🌀weird. I don’t know a better word for it. There’s no way to predict or even imagine the things that are going to happen. People getting 💉vaccine information from rapper Nicki Minaj. Google it. Kids destroying & stealing school 🏫property because of a TikTok challenge. There are so many 🌀weird things that have happened to friends, family, & me that I’ve lost count. Just when I think I’ve heard it all, something even 🌀weirder comes along. A friend says that the daily greeting should be ‘good 🍀luck’ rather than ‘good ☀️morning.’

I was 👟walking to my favorite trail for some exercise over Labor Day weekend. Our house is about a half-mile from the trail, which is a great warm-up & cool-down distance. I noticed a dad with his son riding 🚲bikes on the same quiet street. We waved hello at one another. I commented that the little boy’s 🚲bike looked shiny & new.
Our daughter had a 🏐volleyball game last Thursday night. Ken & I love to attend volleyball games. It’s fun to sit in the stands with friends. We all chat & 😂laugh & video way too many plays. Ken gets at least two bags of 🍿popcorn & calls it dinner. My purse is stuffed with snacks. In this game, our team played great. The celebrations on the court were loud, & the crowd was pumped. 🎉
I was talking with some friends at work about 🍽dinner. We don’t like it. 😬Don’t get me wrong- we 😍love the eating part. It’s the figuring-it-out part that we don’t like. 👎🏻The options. The decisions. The fact that our families like dinner. Every. 👏🏻Single. 👏🏻Night.
