I wrote a post a few weeks ago about feeling a little π₯ burnt out. Since I write content for a living, it started to feel like writing for fun wasn’t so much fun anymore. π€·π»ββοΈ What used to be a relaxing way to spend spare time became an extension of my workday. While I absolutely π love my job and still have drafts waiting to be finished for this blog, I needed to slow down my pace on the π» keyboard. In that piece, I used a π― candle reference, saying I would stop burning the π― candle at both ends. That I would just burn one π₯ flame for a bit. I’m glad I chose to do that. This self-imposed blog break is refreshing and invigorating, just like I planned. Stay tuned. I’ll be back. ππ»
Readers and friends understood, and I felt the love. π One friend took my candle remark literally. She’s a π― candle maker, you see. My friend knew exactly what I needed for this time of rejuvenation. After reading my post, she made sure that I was ready with the perfect π― candle scents, hand-picked especially for me! π₯°
Along with her family, she runs a small business with an online shop and physical location specializing in, you guessed it- candles. Courtney’s Candles and Creations started from my friend’s β€οΈ love of making candles in her kitchen to a 10,000-square-foot warehouse where they make candles and home fragrance items. π They also sell many other brands and products.

When we stopped by the warehouse for the goodie bag, my daughter and I toured the shop and learned a little bit about the art of π― candle making. Like me, my friend gets to do what she loves and calls it work. π She even gave my daughter a Warmie to take to college! (Not sure what that is? Check it out. You may want one!)
I wanted to take a moment to give them a shout-out. π If you want to support a small business that genuinely cares about its customers, click this link to see what you might need to up your π― candle game. You’ll be glad you did. If you’re an Amazon shopper, you can even search Courtney’s Candles and grab a few with your next order. π
